Kunst und Poesie 2018

This is often a cross-curriculum collaboration between the teacher/s of German and the teacher/s of Art.

Artist in Focus: Gabriele Münter

Students from Foundation to Year 6 produce-

an artwork inspired by the artist in focus and give it a title in German

write an artist's statement about the artwork in English or German

In addition, students in Year 3 to 6

compose an Elfchen or Akrostisches Gedicht in German relating to the artist or the student's artwork

Categories

Schools run an in-house competition (and exhibition*) to select a maximum of TWO entries per year level from Foundation to Year 6 to forward for judging at the state final.

*The Committee recommends the school hold their own exhibition and award prizes and certificates to make German visible.

Electronic Submission of Entries
Teachers forward the school's entries electronically to the AGTV for short-listing.

Scan or photograph entries as PDF or jpg files.

Entries accepted anytime up until: Friday, 7th September 2018

A 'Certificate of Participation' for all students participating at the school and 'State Finalist' template for the selected entries will be forwarded to schools registering and submitting entries.

Images of entries may be displayed at AGTV events, published in SZENE and as a digital exhibition on a website.

Judging of State Final Entries

Prize winners will be announced in Term 4.
