  AGTV Competitions offered in 2025 include Kunst und Poesie, Puppenspielfest, Werbeclip, Song des Jahres, Chor des Jahres and the AGTV Poetry Competition.

  Who can enter

  
  

  Students learning German at AGTV member schools are eligible to enter an AGTV competition.

  
  

  How to register participation of the school

  
  

  In 2025, there is only one registration page for all the competitions.

  
  

  Teachers register the participation of students from their school or class in one (or more) of the competitions offered by completing a registration and indicating the competition or competition students will enter.

  
  

  You can register for one or more competitions and return at a later date to complete another registration for for another competition.

  
  

  NB: There are separate registration pages for the Individual and Group Performance competitions of the AGTV Years 4 to 9 Poetry Competition.

  Download the details and entry forms for each competition from the AGTV Competitions page on the AGTV member website. Please follow the instructions and submit entries with entry form/s to the designated email for each competition.

  Open Group Performance Competition

  
  

  Teachers film* a group performance of a poem to submit for state final judging.

  *NB: Performances may be screened publicly or uploaded to a website. Please obtain appropriate permission from parents/carers.
  

  
  

  Maximum of 2 entries per school or campus submitted by 6 September 2025.

  
  

  Teacher/s register your school's participation (separate to the individual competition).

  
  

  Competition Details

  
  

  The group performance can be in any style. No props or costumes.

  
  

  A group must have at least 3 members learning German from Years 4 to 9 at a current AGTV member school.

  
  

  Groups can be any combination of students learning German at the school e.g. DaF and Open, primary and secondary, multi-year level, single year level.
  

  
  

  Students who enter the Individual section (DaF or Open) may also be part of an Open Group Performance.

  
  

  Judges decision is final.

  *The AGTV is not registered for the GST and does not issue tax invoices.

  Registration 

  Classroom teachers register their Unit 4 students. NB: Registration is for both events.

  • Teachers will also be asked to list the number and names of students attending.
  • Teachers will be asked to indicate if they will be joining the webinar themselves.
  • If applicable, an invoice for a non-member teacher will be created for payment

  A link to join each webinar will forwarded to the teacher registering by the Monday prior to each event for teachers to forward to their Unit 4 students only.
