Macht mit: Kunst und Poesie 2021 (F-6)

This competition is only open to students learning German at AGTV member schools.

It is often a cross-curriculum collaboration between the teacher/s of German and the teacher/s of Art. 

Artist in Focus: Sophie Taeuber-Arp

For students from Foundation to Year 6 (see Categories below)

There are 3 elements to this competition. Students need to produce-

• an artwork in any medium (not photography) in any artistic style inspired the theme

• write a brief artist's statement about the style of the artwork in English or German

• compose an Elfchen or Akrostisches Gedicht in German in response to the artwork

Schools run an in-house competition (and exhibition*) to select a maximum of TWO entries per year level from Foundation to Year 6 to forward for judging at the state final.

Selected students complete a permission note to be retained at the school. This year, it is a generic parent/legal guardian permission note for all competitions.

Electronic Submission of Entries

Teachers-

• register the participation of the school in the competition here (can be done anytime)
• photograph or scan the selected artworks, poems and artist statements and save with the name and year level of the student as jpg or PDF files
• complete the school entry form
• forward the entries and school entry form  to the AGTV on the competition email.

NEW DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

Entries accepted anytime up until: Sunday 31st October 2021

A 'Certificate of Participation' for students will be forwarded to schools registering and submitting entries.

Images of entries may be displayed at AGTV events, published in SZENE and as a digital exhibition on a website.

Prize winners will be announced in Term 4.
