AGTV Ein guter Start in Deutsch Certificate

This certificate acknowledges the first steps of learning German in secondary schools in the areas of -
- Kommunikation
- Sprache und Kultur
- Lernverhalten
It is intended to be awarded after a short time learning German and aims to -
- articulate what students are learning,
- make a positive connection between German (and the teacher) and the student and their family,
- encourage students to continue with German, which is of particular importance for students in taster courses.
Teachers only need write the name and date on the certificate. Handwriting these details shows authenticity.
Members ordering the certificates will receive a digital Student Checklist for students to track their progress towards being awarded the certificate. Members also receive
Advice for Teachers to assist in promoting student achievement of the certificate.
Some students may eventually go on to sit for the Goethe-Institut's Fit in Deutsch certificate for A1 and A2 levels. A1 is very achievable and is an internationally recognised certificate.
Who can order certificates
Anyone from a current AGTV member school can order the certificates for the German program, so the school bursar could place the order if that is easier.
How to order certificates
Orders accepted from AGTV member schools due not later than:
- Friday 4 April delivery in May.
Certificates will be produced in bulk after the close of orders.
Please arrange for a school purchase/order number prior to ordering for your school. There is a place on the form (registration) for the number.
Only ONE order per school or campus in 2025.
Cost
A base cost of $15* plus any additional amount as listed below for orders over 75 as a contribution towards the overall cost of production, postage and handling of orders.
*GST not included. The AGTV is not registered for the GST and is not required to issue tax invoices.
An Invoice is automatically generated after the order is placed and emailed to the person ordering the certificates.
Please finalise payment promptly. You will have to print and forward the invoice to the relevant person at the school if you are not paying personally or at the time the order was placed.
Those ordering up to 75 certificates only pay the base $10. Beyond 75 is an additional payment as listed below.
